Freja Beha Erichsen: Vogue Paris

Shockingly eerie and beautiful editorial Néo Belphégor  published in September 2010 issue of Vogue Paris revives the story of the phantom of Louvre with famous Danish model Freja Beha Erichsen in the main role. The editorial is photographed by Mikael Jansson and styed by Anastasia Barbieri with hair by Marc Lopez, makeup by Hannah Murray and set design by Jean-Hughes de Chatillon.

Freja Beha is looking sinister all dolled up in goth style, wearing Alexander Wang, Lanvin, Gucci, Giorgio Armani, Proenza Schouler, Giuseppe Zanotti and Bottega Veneta. She is wondering through the dark streets of Paris followed by a ferociously looking black panther. Stylish and yet terrifying images are evoking the myth of the demon Belphegor from the famous fantasy film by Jean-Paul Salomé Belphégor – Le Fantôme du Louvre.  Patina on dark shots adds to the chilling atmosphere of pictures of lonely corners of Paris around Louvre in the dead of night.
